INDUSTRI-MATEMATIK TO SELL SOFTWARE WITH IBM
Swedish supply chain software developer Industri-Matematik International
Corp. and U.S. technology giant IBM have signed an agreement to jointly
develop, market and sell supply chain software solutions to shippers.
The companies plan to focus their efforts in the retail, ‘e-tail,’
wholesale, consumer durables, consumer packaged goods and electronics
industries.
Industri-Matematik offers a suite of advanced order management and
replenishment execution software designed to reduce and speed the movement
of inventory.
IBM plans to team with several supply chain software vendors to deliver
one-stop software and hardware supply chain solutions to companies the
world over. The Industri-Matematik comes on the heels of a relationship IBM
forged with supply chain planning company i2 Technologies.
Joint IBM/Industri-Matematik customers include retailer Canadian Tire,
parts wholesaler Ahlsell AB and Norway’s largest wholesale distributor of
medical supplies Norsk Medisinaldepot.
