The Swiss-based third-party logistics provider’s new integrated logistics control center in Shanghai will focus on automotive, consumer, high-tech, industrial, and pharma and healthcare industries.
Swiss-based third-party logistics provider Kuehne + Nagel opened a regional integrated logistics control center (LCC) in Shanghai, the company announced on Monday.
The LCC will provide international fulfillment services with dedicated teams to handle contract and transportation management and logistics partner management.
The center will focus on automotive, consumer, high-tech, industrial, and pharma and healthcare industries.
The overarching goal of the LCC, however, is to “drive synergies to meet the growing demand for end-to-end solutions from a single source,” Kuehne + Nagel said.
“The new LCC in Shanghai is in line with the group’s strategic approach to globally provide integrated logistics services and to expand Kuehne + Nagel’s end-to-end offering also in North Asia Pacific,” said Siewloong Wong, president of Kuehne + Nagel North Asia Pacific. “With the enhanced set-up and know-how bundled in expert teams, we will be able to even better serve our customers by developing, implementing and operating scalable solutions for greater flexibility and speed, thus improving supply chain performance.”
Tobias Jerschke, global head of Integrated Logistics, said, “The Kuehne + Nagel Logistics Control Center in Shanghai is the eighth of its kind in the world. The footprint extension of our LCC is a clear answer to the growing demand of our Asian customers to manage global supply chains flows.”
