NYK ACQUIRES ETA TRANSPORTATION
NYK has announced the acquisition of ETA Transportation Inc., based in Bentonville, Ark.
ETA has warehouses in Bentonville; Macon, Ga.; Johnstown, N.Y.; Indianapolis, Ind.; Las Vegas, Nev.; and Claremont, N.C.. Additionally, ETA has warehouses and offices in Laredo, Texas and Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico.
The newly-acquired company also has truck operations across the U.S. and Mexico.
ETA’s founder, C.J. Charlton, will continue as chief executive officer of ETA and take on additional responsibilities as senior logistics adviser to NYK’s executive management team, the Japanese group said.
