HAMBURG SUD TO CHRISTEN SHIPS
Hamburg Sud will christen the “Cap San Augustin” and the “Cap San Antonio” today at the Samsung Heavy Industry yard on Koje Island, Korea. The new ships are the fourth and fifth in a series of six identical 3,800-TEU ships ordered by the German line.
The Cap San Augustin will be time charted by APL Shipping Company when it goes into service August 14. Joint deployment into inter-Americas service with the three previous sister ships will take place in the fall.
