Panalpina opens Singapore facility
Logistics giant Panalpina has opened its new distribution and logistics center in Singapore.
The new complex, located near Changi International Airport, has 8,546 square meters of warehousing space. Panalpina is aiming to attract clients in chemicals and pharmaceuticals (health care), the high-tech sector and telecommunications.
Panalpina sees Singapore as a strategic hub for the Asia Pacific region and the new facility will complement Panalpina's existing offices covering air freight, ocean freight and other logistical services, said Chief Executive Monika Ribar, in a statement.
“This facility is more than just another warehouse,' she said. 'It is also a signal that we are ready to offer our customers top-quality services and infrastructure — wherever and whenever they need them.”
