HAYES NAMED PRESIDENT OF AMERICAN TEXTILE MANUFACTURERS INSTITUTE
Charles A. Hayes, board chairman of Guilford Mills Inc. of Greensboro, N.C., has been named president of the American Textile Manufacturers Institute.
Hayes will be the chief spokesman for the Washington, D.C.-based lobbying organization, dealing with legislative issues, federal agencies and the media.
ATMI also elected Van May first vice president and Joseph L. Gorga, second vice president. May is president and chief executive officer of the Plains Cotton Cooperative Association of Lubbock, Texas; and Gorga is president and CEO of CMI Industries, in Greensboro.
