TACA TO RAISE BUNKER SURCHARGE IN MARCH
The Trans-Atlantic Conference Agreement said Friday that member carriers will raise their bunker surcharges, effective March 16.
For traffic to, from and through U.S. Atlantic and Gulf Coast ports, the new rates will be $216 per 20-foot container, $432 per 40-45-foot container, and $22 per weight/measurement.
For traffic to, from, and through U.S. Pacific Coast ports, the new rates will be $324 per 20-foot container, $648 per 40-45-foot container, with a weight measurement of $32.
TACA’s members are Atlantic Container Line, Hapag-Lloyd Container Line, Mediterranean Shipping Co., A.P. Moller-Maersk Sealand, Nippon Yusen Kaisha Line, Orient Overseas Container Line and P&O Nedlloyd.
