China Shipping adds sixth Asia/U.S. West Coast link
Expansionist Chinese ocean carrier China Shipping Container Lines is starting a weekly transpacific service from the start of June.
The “AAC” service will use four ships of 4,051 TEU capacities and call at Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Los Angeles, Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai and Busan. The new service will add approximately 210,000 TEUs in annual one-way capacity to the transpacific trade.
The vessel “Xin Yang Zho” starts the “AAC” service when it departs from Ningbo June 6.
Following the start of the “AAC” service, China Shipping will have six individual or joint weekly services between Asia and the U.S. West Coast, according to ComPair Data, the global liner-shipping database. China Shipping also provides three Asia to U.S. East Coast services.
