Hyundai to resume transpacific service to Long Beach
Korean ocean carrier Hyundai Merchant Marine will resume May calls on its weekly transpacific Pacific China Express service to Long Beach from Tacoma.
Hyundai originally switched calls on the PCX from Long Beach to Tacoma in October 2004.
The vessel “Hyundai Pioneer” will make the first call back at Long Beach May 16. At the same time, calls at Xingang in China will be dropped from the rotation.
The PCX service uses five ships of about 2,900 TEUs and will have a revised port rotation of: Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Long Beach, Oakland, Busan and back to Ningbo.
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and Sinotrans Container Lines both take slots on the PCX.
