COMPANIES APPLY TO FMC FOR OTI LICENSES

   Four companies have applied to the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission for licenses to operate as ocean transportation intermediaries.

   Cargo Transport, Inc., also known as Blue Ocean Marine, based in Dulles, Va., and Goodway Cargo International Freight Forwarders, Inc., also known as Goodway Cargo Line, of Miami, have applied for licenses as Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers.

   Cargo Gate International, Inc., based in Torrance, Calif., has applied for a license as a Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier and freight forwarder.

   JAG Int’l, based in Pomano Beach, Fla., has applied for a license as a freight forwarder.

   Persons knowing of any reason why the applicants should not receive a license are requested to contact the office of transportation intermediaries at the Federal Maritime Commission in Washington.
