Vietnam expects ship exports of $1.7 billion by 2010
Vietnam’s ship exports are expected to more than triple by 2010 to $1.7 billion, according to Nhan Dan newspaper.
The paper said Vietnam Ship Building Corp. received $750 million this year raised through the issue of government bonds in the international market.
“Thanks to this capital, the corporation expects to export products worth $500 million annually from 2007,” the paper said. “To date, it has signed export contracts valued at about $1.5 billion through 2009.”
