Promotions and appointments were made at SABMiller, DHL Global Forwarding, Cargolux, DP World London, Buss Port Logistics, and Swisslog.
Brewer SABMiller has appointed Philip Hodges to the newly created position of group director of integrated supply, effective Dec. 1. He succeeds Tony van Kralingen, who will retire. Hodges was most recently senior vice president of supply chain at Mondelez Europe, where he worked in various management roles since 1991.
DHL Global Forwarding has appointed Charles Kaufmann as chief executive officer for North Asia. In his new role, Kaufmann will be responsible for a market area covering Mongolia, North Korea, South Korea and Taiwan. He was most recently senior vice president of operations and value-added services for Asia Pacific at DHL Global Forwarding.
Cargolux Airlines International has named Christian Thiele its country manager for Germany. He succeeds Tony McNichol who will take over a new position at the cargo airline in October. Thiele joined Cargolux from Emirates SkyCargo.
DP World London Gateway Logistics Park has appointed Oliver Treneman as its park development director. He succeeds Graeme Clarke, who announced his retirement. Treneman joined DP World from The Redwood Group, where he was a managing director.
Marco Neelsen has been appointed chief executive officer of Buss Port Logistics. He took over the position from Heinrich Ahlers, who will stay on as an adviser through 2016. Neelsen was most recently CEO of Khalifa Bin Salman Port in Bahrain and before that served in operational management roles at A.P. Moller Terminals Group.
Christian Baur will lead Swisslog’s Warehouse and Distribution Solutions Division, while Volker Jungbluth, formerly managing director of Swisslog Germany, will focus on strategic development of the company’s technology and Nicholas Tripptree will head the Americas office, relocating from the company’s Asia-Pacific office.
