ROADWAY EXPRESS TO REALIGN FREIGHT NETWORK
Roadway Express Inc. said it will realign its nationwide freight network to reduce transit times and improve customer service, effective July 17.
The motor carrier will adjust schedules and add more than 500 sleeper team schedules to improve speed and reliability of its less-than-truckload service to key metropolitan areas.
Revamping services will improve transit on more than 1,000 city-to-city lane combinations, including metro Chicago to New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Boston; New York/New Jersey to Florida; Dallas to the Northeast region; and the Cleveland/Akron and Buffalo, N.Y. areas to the West Coast.
