LIZ CLAIBORNE SELECTS QIVA FOR INTEGRATIVE SOFTWARE

Liz Claiborne Inc., a provider of fashion apparel and accessories, has contracted with Qiva, a provider of software for supply chain operations, to implement an integrated inbound logistics and import management solution.

San Francisco-based Qiva’s multimodule platform will be used to manage logistics operations, import compliance, and documentation for Liz Claiborne.

The apparel provider sought an “integration of the management of physical logistics with the trade logistics requirements that come with significant import volume,” said Lois Davis, vice president of global logistics at Liz Claiborne.

Qiva’s Web-based solution offered Liz Claiborne a “practical way to scale across global partners,” Davis said.

“We believe that looking at problems holistically across functions and partners is a key lever when using technology,” she explained.

Liz Claiborne markets brands of apparel and apparel-related products that include Crazy Horse, Curve, Liz Claiborne, Mambo, Meg Allen, Mexx, Monet, Sigrid Olsen and Villager. The company has an exclusive license to produce women’s wear under the Kenneth Cole New York, Unlisted.com, and Reaction Kenneth Cole brand names.
