U.S. Lines celebrates first ANZL sailing

   U.S. Lines on Friday reported an on-time departure of the first sailing of its new ANZL Service to Australia and New Zealand.

   The Falcon 1, Voyage 603, sailed from Los Angeles Aug. 10 with its first port of call being Tauranga, New Zealand on Aug. 25 before continuing on with direct calls at Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.

   USL, which provides liner and logistics services in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and North America, is a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. Lines Holdings Ltd., which is headquartered in Santa Ana, Calif.
