NORTEL NETWORKS SELECTS VASTERA FOR TRADE OPERATIONS
Nortel Networks, a provider of networking and communications solutions, has contracted with Vastera, a provider of trade management solutions, to manage Nortel’s global trade operations.
The three-year pact will help Nortel “to deliver products and network solutions to our customers … while navigating an ever-changing global trade landscape,” said Tom Dorval, leader of Nortel Networks Global Logistics.
Under terms of the deal, Vastera will handle global customs for Nortel, as well as “the management of import and export processes to ensure the unimpeded flow of product across international borders,” according to a statement from Vastera, based in Dulles, Va.
