CTAC TO DISCUSS TRANSPORT OF HAZARDOUS BULK MATERIALS
The U.S. Coast Guard’s Chemical Transportation Advisory Committee has scheduled meetings in Washington on Sept. 12-14 to review various issues relating to the marine transportation of hazardous materials in bulk.
Meeting topics include the development of a risk management guide for the chemical transportation industry, final development of recommendations to the Coast Guard concerning protocols for emergency chemical response, and continuing development of recommendations for an industry standard to prevent cargo tank overpressurization.
