OOCL adds 8,063-TEU ship to Asia/Europe
Hong Kong-based Orient Overseas Container Line has named a new 8,063-TEU ship, the “OOCL Qingdao.” The vessel will join one of the carrier’s Asia/Europe container services.
Named today at a shipyard of Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea, the new ship is the fifth of a series of 12 “SX-class” 8,063-TEU vessels that OOCL has ordered from Samsung.
