C.H. Robinson’s 1Q profit up 10%

   C.H. Robinson Worldwide said it had a profit of $106.5 million in the first quarter, 9.9 percent more than the $97 million earned in the first three months of 2011.
   Total revenue for the third party logistics services provider was $2.55 billion in the first quarter, 7.9 percent more than the $2.37 billion recorded in same 2011 period.
   Net revenues were $414.7 million in the first quarter of 2012, 6.3 percent more than in the first quarter of 2011.
   By segment, trucking revenue was $315.4 million, up 7.1 percent; intermodal revenue was $9.7 million, up 1.2 percent; ocean revenue was $15.8 million, up 1.2 percent; air revenue was $8.9 million, down 3.4 percent; other logistic services was $17.5 million, up 24.2 percent; sourcing revenue was $31.9 million, down 3.2 percent; and payment services revenue was $15.6 million, up 8.1 percent.
