COURT EXTENDS RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST FRITZ
' A Shelby County Circuit Court judge in Memphis has extended until March 7 a restraining order sought by FedEx Corp. against Fritz Cos., according to a press report.
Fritz and FedEx declined comment, citing a gag order from Judge Rita Stotts.
FedEx, based in Memphis, sued Fritz on Feb. 5, claiming that Fritz had given trade secrets and other information about FedEx to United Parcel Service (UPS), during discussions that led to UPS acquiring Fritz. Stotts issued her restraining order the next day.
FedEx said the alleged disclosures violated a confidentiality agreement that Fritz had signed'when FedEx was considering acquiring part of Fritz’s assets.
