TMM LINES JOINS EUROPE/AFRICA/EAST COAST SOUTH AMERICA SERVICE
TMM Lines is joining the Europe/Africa/East Coast South America service started recently by fellow CP Ships subsidiaries Contship Containerlines and Lykes Lines. The other partners in the vessel-sharing agreement are Compania Sud Americana de Vapores and its subsidiary Montemar.
When the service started in early October, it was scheduled to use four ships and sail every 10 days. Currently, it uses only three ships of around 1,730 TEUs and has since dropped Tilbury as a direct call port.
The revised rotation is now Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Lisbon, Las Palmas, Dakar, Abidjan, Santos, Paranagua, Itajai, Rio de Janeiro, Fortaleza, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre and Lisbon.
