TMM TAKES SPACE ON ASIA/SOUTH AFRICA/SOUTH AMERICA LINK
TMM Lines has started a weekly container service connecting Asia, South Africa and the East Coast South America, by taking slots on an existing service of Kien Hung.
TMM commenced its participation in the service with the “Harmony Container” sailing southbound on Aug. 31 from Shanghai.
TMM said the service will also allow it to offer a link between South Africa and the U.S. Gulf/Mexico via transshipment in South America.
The Asia/East Coast of South America service complements TMM’s existing service from Asia to the United States, Mexico and the west coast of Central and South America.
The service has a rotation of Shanghai, Pusan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Santos, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Singapore, Laem Chabang, Hong Kong, Shanghai.
