MOL TO ESTABLISH SHIPPING AGENCY IN PANAMA
MOL (America) Inc. said it has established a new shipping agency in Panama to handle all commercial activities of its container division.
Julio De La Lastra has been named president and chief operating officer of the new agency, MOL (Panama) Inc. De La Lastra has more than 24 years of maritime industry experience, most recently as vice president of liner operations for Boyd Steamship Corp.
In addition, Boyd Steamship will handle Panama Canal transits for MOL's container division, continuing the two companies long relationship, MOL said.
MOL has five liner services that call Panama each week.
MOL (Panama) will have offices in Panama City and Colon, at Manzanillo International Terminal.
