U.S. studies impact of Andean, Panama trade agreements
The U.S. International Trade Commission will investigate the economic impact of U.S. free trade agreements with four Andean countries and Panama.
The ITC said it seeks input for the investigations from trade associations and other interested industry officials.
The Andean Trade Preferences Act includes the countries Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
The ITC will submit the findings of these investigations to the U.S. Trade Representative by April 8. The agency said it will also hold a public hearing covering the two investigations at its Washington headquarters on Feb. 10.
