CARRIERS SWAP MORE TRANSPACIFIC SLOTS
COSCO has announced several amendments to its slot arrangements with Hanjin Shipping and Senator Lines in the transpacific market from May.
With Hanjin, COSCO will swap 100 TEU on the CEN and PDS services but will stop taking 100 TEU on the CAX service.
With Senator, COSCO will swap 100 TEU on the CEN and PSX services. Previously COSCO had given Senator 150 TEUs on the CEN service. COSCO will also stop selling 150 TEU to Senator on the CES service.
COSCO, “K” Line, Yang Ming Line, Hanjin and Senator Lines have recently formed the new “CKYHS” alliance. According to ComPairData (www.compairdata.com), the global liner shipping database, the five carriers collectively offer 13 weekly Asia-North America services.
