DELMAS TURNS DOUALA INTO TRANSSHIPMENT CALL
French ocean carrier Delmas has dropped Douala, Cameroon, as a direct call on its weekly Europe-West Africa Hebdo service.
Instead, Douala will be served via transShipment from Cotonou, Benin. A spokesman for Delmas said that the transit times to the Cameroon port would be the same as they were previously when the port was called directly.
Delmas’ sister company OT Africa Line takes slots on the service. Both Delmas and OTAL are owned by the Bollore group.
Deploying five ships of between 1,719-1,900 TEUs, the revised service rotation is now Amsterdam, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Rouen, Le Havre, Montoir, Dakar, Conakry, Abidjan, Tema, Lome, Cotonou, Lagos, Abidjan, Dakar, Montoir, Le Havre, Amsterdam, Felixstowe, Antwerp and Rouen.
The revised transit times of the service are posted on the global liner shipping database ComPairData at www.compairdata.com.
