MarAd to hold conference call for MSP product tanker builds
The U.S. Maritime Administration will hold a conference call Wednesday with U.S. vessel operators and shipyards regarding its request for competitive proposals to build five new U.S.-flag product tank vessels.
The vessels will be part of the U.S. government’s reauthorized Maritime Security Program. MarAd solicited competitive proposals from the U.S.-flag commercial vessel and shipyard industry on Feb. 20.
MarAd said the conference call would provide additional information and “answer any outstanding questions related to the new tanker program.”
The conference call will be held in two parts:
* From 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for vessel owners/operators.
* From 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. for shipyards.
