CASSELS NAMED PRESIDENT OF SOUTHEASTERN FREIGHT LINES
Tobin Cassels has been named president of Columbia, S.C.-based Southeastern Freight Lines, replacing Paul Taylor, who recently retired.
Cassels, 41, joined the company as a management trainee in 1981 and expanded his roles in marketing and operations, becoming Southeastern's first director of quality improvement in 1985. He was later promoted to director of operations, then to vice president of terminal operations in 1989. In 1994 he assumed the position of vice chairman.
The company was founded by W.T. Cassels Sr. in 1950, who serves as chairman.
