Lufthansa Cargo launches pricing strategy in German market

   Lufthansa Cargo said it is implementing price cuts in the German domestic market in an effort to grow market share and in other European core markets.

   The air-freight giant said in a statement it would 'offer customers long-term capacity acceptance agreements at favorable rates.'

   'The German market is among the most attractive in Europe,' said Andreas Otto, Lufthansa Cargo's board member, marketing and sales. 'The measures we are taking will send a strong signal to our customers and, naturally, to competitors as well.'

   The pricing efforts are combined with measures to sharpen customer focus, the company said.
