TPG, SWISS POST FORM ALLIANCE
TNT Post Group, the parent company of the Dutch post office and
international express carrier TNT, has formed an alliance with
Switzerland’s national postal company to offer international delivery
services to Swiss shippers.
The two companies said they will form a joint venture, based in
Switzerland, to manage international express and courier services in the
Swiss market. TPG said it wants to expand the partnership to include
cooperation in international mail, logistics and electronic commerce
related services.
Through the alliance, TPG gains access to the Swiss Post’s office
network and its technology. The Swiss Post will use TPG to sell
international transportation and logistics services to its customers.
