Evergreen Marine is dropping direct calls at Oakland, Tokyo and Osaka on its weekly transpacific TPS service.
The 6,332-TEU vessel “Hatsu Eagle” will make the last call at Oakland on April 9 and the Tokyo and Osaka calls on April 22 and April 23 respectively.
UK-flag Hatsu Marine, established by the Evergreen Group in January, has received FMC approval to join Evergreen and Lloyd Triestino as a vessel operating partner on the TPS service. A spokesman for Hatsu said they expect to start offering bills of lading in May.
The revised TPS service will call Yantian; Hong Kong; Kaohsiung; Los Angeles, Calif.; Tacoma, Wash.; Vancouver, B.C.; Kaohsiung; Hong Kong and Yantian.
