U.S. POSTAL SERVICE DOUBLES REACH OF GUARANTEED GLOBAL SERVICE
The U.S. Postal Service, through its alliance partner DHL Worldwide
Express, will double the reach of its international expedited services
Starting Nov. 1, the Priority Mail Global Guaranteed service will
include destinations in 46 new countries and territories, including
Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean Islands and certain countries in
Southeast and Far East Asia.
The number of U.S. postal outlets offering the international expedited
services will also expand, from 3,500 outlets in 11 U.S. markets to more than 10,000
retail locations nationwide.
USPS and DHL started the two-business-day guaranteed service for
non-dutiable items to major cities in April, connecting to 18 countries and one territory
in Western Europe.
