New York panel to discuss night deliveries in urban centers
The New York Chapter of the Council of Logistics Management is sponsoring a panel discussion Wednesday on how to shift more freight deliveries in crowded cities to off-peak hours to reduce congestion.
Panelists include Peter King, director of planning and program management for the New York State Department of Transportation’s New York City office, and Jose Holguin Veras, a professor at Renselaer Polytechnic Institute, who is surveying business interest in new delivery schedules.
The event, which costs $85, will be held at the Cornell Club in New York. Lunch begins at 12:15 p.m.
