Schenker appoints U.S. projects executive
Schenker Inc., the U.S. arm of Germany’s forwarding group Stinnes, has appointed Urs Schaerer vice president, projects, at its Houston facility.
Schaerer has spent the last 10 years in project logistics, where he was responsible for the shipment and in-country positioning of heavy plant to project sites around the world, including to remote locations in the Middle East, Asia, Australia and equatorial South America.
He also worked in the United States between 1998 and 2001, moving heavy power equipment by road, rail and barge to all regions of the U.S.
Stinnes is part of the railroad and forwarding group Deutsche Bahn AG.
