ECS ACQUIRES PACE AIRLINE MANAGEMENT
European Cargo Services a cargo general sales agent, said it has acquired Pace Airline Management.
ECS said the acquisition allows them a strong foothold in the United Kingdom and German markets. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Formed almost two decades ago, Pace has offices in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany and the Ukraine. It generates annual cargo revenues of $25 million for about 20 major airline customers, including Air China, Gulf Air, Korean Airlines, Malev, United Airlines and others.
Pace Airline Management will continue to operate under its own brand name with its current staff under the leadership of Pace managing director Mac Warner.
ECS provides cargo general sales agency and ground handling services for 105 airline customers through 61 branches in 19 countries worldwide. With a staff of more than 300, in 2001 it generated revenues of $120 million.
