NYK LOGISTICS RECEIVES LICENSES TO OPEN CHINESE BRANCHES

   NYK Logistics China Co., Ltd., the China-based logistics unit of the Nippon Yusen Kaisha group, has received authorizations from China’s Ministry of Communication and Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation to open five branches in the country.

   NYK Logistics China will set up the new branches in Tianjin, Qingdao, Fuzhou, Xiamen and Guangzhou by the end of this year.

   NYK Logistics China cited “increasing logistics demands of customers after China becomes a participant in the WTO.”

   In addition to opening the five branches, NYK has entered into a business tie-up with COSCO Logistics.
