EUROPE/SRI LANKA LINES END RISK SURCHARGE
Shipping lines of the India Pakistan Bangladesh Ceylon Conferences said they will end their extra risk insurance surcharge on shipments to and from Sri Lanka, effective today.
The extra risk insurance surcharge has been $52 per TEU.
However, for cargo transshipped via Sri Lanka, the surcharge has remained unchanged at $10 per TEU. The conference lines said this reflects the level of surcharge levied by feeder operators.
