Costa Container Lines to add Brazil port call to Intramerica service
Genoa-based Costa Container Lines will add calls at Paranagua, Brazil to its Mexico/Caribbean/North Coast South America/East Coast South America Intramerica-ITA service
The 1,730-TEU ship “Cala Ponente” will make the first call at the Brazilian port on the ITA June 3.
The ITA has a sailing frequency of every nine days using five ships averaging 1,533 TEUs. The revised port rotation will be: Veracruz, Mexico; Altamira, Mexico; Havana; Cristobal, Panama; Cartagena, Colombia; Puerto Cabello; La Guaira; Paranagua; Santos; Rio de Janeiro; La Guaira; Puerto Cabello; Cartagena, Colombia; Santo Tomas de Castilla; Havana and back to Veracruz.
