Maruba Lines to add Seattle, Vancouver calls to California Express
Argentina-based Maruba Lines will in January add calls at Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia, to its weekly California Express service.
The California Express started in July and uses two ships of about 1,000 TEUs. The first sailing with the new port calls will depart Manzanillo, Mexico, Jan. 12. The revised port rotation will be Manzanillo, Long Beach, Oakland, Seattle, Vancouver, Long Beach, Ensenada and Manzanillo.
Maruba said the extended California Express service will offer an alternative choice once its Asia/North America West Coast/West Coast South America AMPAC service stops calls at North American ports in January. Maruba will use Manzanillo as a transshipment hub to move cargo to and from West Coast ports in Central and South America on its Clan service.
