WITASS adjusts fuel surcharges, drops Jamaican congestion levy

   The Association of West India Trans-Atlantic Steam Ship Lines (WITASS), based in London, has adjusted its bunker surcharges for westbound and eastbound April sailings.

   The U.S. denominated rates will be 123 euro ($123) for 20-foot containers and 246 euro ($246) for 40-foot containers, according to WITASS.

   WITASS has also withdrawn a congestion surcharge for the port of Kingston, Jamaica, saying 'the port has returned to normal working conditions.'

   Members of WITASS are CMA-CGM, CSAV, Hamburg-Sud, Hapag-Lloyd and P&O Nedlloyd.
