JACKSONVILLE PORT AUTHORITY NAMES MASSA TO SALES, MARKETING POST
The Jacksonville Port Authority has named Benjamin M. Massa to the newly created position of director of Northeast marketing and sales.
Massa was senior vice president for Norton Lilly International Inc., the steamship agency company that was recently acquired by Win Thurber III and partner J. Schley Rutherford, who also own Strachan Shipping.
Prior to joining Norton Lilly in 1995, Massa was named vice president and chief operating officer of U.S. Navigation Inc. in 1994, after serving as director of marketing and sales from 1986 to 1993. He previously served as an owner's representative for Barber Blue Sea, and had sales experience with Barber Steamship Lines and the Tilston Roberts Corp.
He will be based in the New York-New Jersey area and will report directly to Roy Schleicher, the port authority's senior director of trade development, marketing and public relations.
