BNSF adds three to Washington D.C. office
BNSF Railway Co. has made three additions to its federal government affairs team in Washington.
Michael Smythers, former special assistant to the president in the White House office of legislative affairs, has been appointed as BNSF’s assistant vice president, federal government affairs.
The railroad has appointed Zak Andersen as its director, federal government relations. Andersen was a principal at the Gallatin Group, before which he spent eight years working with U.S. Senator Max Baucus, D-Mont.
Lindsay Duncan has been appointed as BNSF’s budget and legislative affairs analyst. Duncan worked on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, serving in both the Railroad, and Highway Transit and Pipelines subcommittees.
