DHL receives EU grant for German air logistics center
The European Commission approved a grant of 70.8 million Swiss Francs ($53.7 million) to DHL Airways to build a new hub at Leipzig/Halle Airport in Germany. The grant is the maximum allowable under regional aid plans for large investment projects.
DHL Airways provides air freight service for DHL Worldwide Express and other subsidiaries of parent company Deutsche Post.
