APM TERMINALS PICKS GLOBAL TRANSPORTATION SOLUTION
APM Terminals Romania, Constantza has signed a multi-year contract with Global Transportation Solutions, a provider of logistics software reselling services, for support of a terminal optimization application.
APM is using TOPS, a software application developed by Realtime Business Solutions, a partner of Global Transportation Solutions, at APM’s marine terminal in Constantza, Romania.
The software, customized and implemented in the last six months at the terminal, “enables Constantza’s mobile crane and reach stacker operation to provide increased productivity, faster truck turnaround time, and full EDI services, compared to existing operations in the port. We expect to expand the use of such solutions in other similar operations,” said Nicholas F. Fisher, senior general manager for APM Terminals, Copenhagen.
APM Terminals is part of the A.P. Moller Group. Global Transportation Solutions is based in Morristown, N.J. Realtime Business Solutions is based in Sydney, Australia.
