Rail-Bridge Terminal, ITS, TransBay, Husky have new president
Long-time 'K' Line executive Fumito Kawamata has taken over as president of Rail-Bridge Terminal Corp. in Elizabeth, N.J., International Transportation Service in Long Beach, TransBay Container Service in Oakland, and Husky Terminal and Stevedoring in Tacoma.
Kawamata has served in numerous executive positions with 'K' Line, including executive vice president of International Transportation Service and chief executive officer of “K” Line Holding (Europe) Ltd.
Rail-Bridge Terminal operates a 62-acre intermodal yard at Elizabeth, N.J.
Founded in 1971 and based in Long Beach, International Transportation Service operates a 248-acres container terminal at the Port of Long Beach.
The 20-year-old TransBay Container Terminal Inc. operates a 48-acre container terminal at the Port of Oakland.
Husky Terminal & Stevedoring Inc. has been operating a container terminal in Port of Tacoma since 1983. In June 2005, HUSKY relocated to the 93-acre Terminal 4 after more than 20 years of operation at Terminal 7D.
