HONG KONG SHIPPING ASSOCIATION APPOINTS EXECUTIVES
The Hong Kong Liner Shipping Association, a body
representing shipping lines and agents in Hong Kong, has appointed a new chairman and vice
chairman for the next two-year term.
Ulrik Brandt, managing director of Maersk Hong Kong Ltd., the Hong Kong
organization of Maersk Sealand, is chairman of the association. Jim Poon, managing
director of OOCL (Asia Pacific) Ltd., is the body’s vice chairman.
A spokesman for the Hong Kong Liner Shipping Association said that it plans
to join the Hong Kong government on a team to tour major U.S. cities to promote the port
of Hong Kong.
