COAC TO HOLD MEETING IN LAREDO
The Treasury Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of the U.S. Customs Service, better known as COAC, will hold a meeting in Laredo, Texas, Friday.
The meeting agenda includes discussions about the draft legislation to restructure the Merchandise Processing Fee; Customs’ Office of Regulations and Rulings’ alternatives to the ruling process; Customs’ audit process review; status of H.R. 4868 Treasury study and report on Customs’ import process; and border resource alternatives.
The new COAC team for 2001-2002, which is composed of senior-level industry executives, will be present at the meeting.
