T. Parker Host names new COO

   Ship agency and brokerage T. Parker Host has appointed Cees van de Mortel to chief operating officer.
   He spent the last 12 years with Kinder Morgan Terminals in various senior management positions, and prior to that he was employed with the Dutch transportation and terminal company Vopak.
   Reporting to Adam Anderson, president, van de Mortel’s responsibilities will include leading operations and sales for the T. Parker Host agency and terminal networks.

Located in the Washington, D.C. area, Chris Gillis primarily reports on regulatory and legislative topics that impact cross-border trade. He joined American Shipper in 1994, shortly after graduating from Mount St. Mary’s College in Emmitsburg, Md., with a degree in international business and economics.
