CIRCLE TO BOOST TRUCKING LINKS TO MEXICO

CIRCLE TO BOOST TRUCKING LINKS TO MEXICO

San Francisco-based forwarder Circle International has formed a
partnership with regional less-than-truckload carrier Billings Freight
Systems to provide door-to-door trucking service between the eastern U.S. and Mexico.
Billings provides the trucks and Circle is providing customs clearance
and other services to speed border crossings. The program offers delivery in two to three
days from points east to Circle’s gateway operation in
Laredo.
From Laredo, the companies will provide one, two or three-day delivery,
depending on destination, to some 22 major cities within Mexico.
Inbound service from Mexico to the eastern and southern U.S. via Laredo
offers similar transit times. Shipments clear Customs and border crossing at Laredo
generally within 24 hours.
