TERION RECEIVES ORDERS FOR 5,000 TRAILER-TRACKING UNITS

J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc., the largest publicly traded U.S. truckload carrier, and St. Louis-based XTRA Lease Inc. have ordered wireless trailer management systems from Terion Inc. to help track shipments.

Lowell, Ark.-based J.B. Hunt ordered 1,500 of FleetView devices that track and monitor unattached trailers, according to Terion. Once installed J.B. Hunt will track at least 18,500 of its trailers with the Terion system.

XTRA Lease purchased 4,000 FleetView units. XTRA Lease has a fleet of 90,000 dry van and specialty trailers that it rents and leases to shippers with private fleets, trucking companies and logistics operators. The new order brings to at least 35,000 XTRA trailers with the FleetView trailer tracking system.

J.B. Hunt and XTRA are long-standing Terion customers.
